2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

$75.00 each

Vintage Notes
The 2013 vintage in Napa will go down as one of the best vintages in recent history. With near-ideal spring bud break and steady powering producing an even fruit set, the 2013 vintage provided a near record crop with high quality fruit. A lengthy stretch of warm days and cool nights during the long summer months produced fruit with a nice balanced structure and acidity. This growing season lead to beautifully complex ripe fruit, and is clearly exhibited in our wines from 2013.

Tasting Notes
Our 2013 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the characteristics produced by the near perfect growing season. In the glass, the wine exhibits a bouquet of blackberries, creme de cassis, and black cherry cola. On the palate, the wine produces lush berry notes, followed by dark black currant notes across a velvet, textured mid-palate showing the multiple layers and depth of this wine. On the finish, pronounced tannins provide structure and focus the wine, producing deep dark fruit and hints of tobacco that lingers in a long finsh that produces a lasting impression.
